From the year it was founded in 1928 the Koninklijke Nederlands-Indische Luchtvaart Maatschappij (K.N.I.L.M.) (Royal Dutch Indies Airways) offered air travel within what was then the Dutch-East Indies, first between Batavia (now Jakarta) and Bandung. This poster with the text ‘Fly to Java’ stems from the year 1938.
